Why GivePower

Our batteries are built on sodium, one of the most common elements in seawater. GivePower Foundation is a US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit that builds containerised, solar-powered desalination systems it calls Solar Water Farms, which turn salty or brackish water into safe drinking water for communities that don’t have it. Energy and water are the two things we care most about, so it was an easy match.

How it works

• A$2 per battery. One donation of A$2 for each battery sold, whatever the model or price.
• Net of refunds. If an order is cancelled or refunded, no donation is made for it.
• We pay it, not you. The donation is made by Salty Cells. It isn’t added to your order and it isn’t a tax-deductible gift from you.
• Paid regularly. We send the total to GivePower Foundation at least every quarter, and we’ll record it on this page.
• Applies to orders placed from the launch of this pledge (October 2026).
