Changed your mind, ordered the wrong fitment, or think there's a fault? Here's exactly how returns work.
Change your mind within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price.
One email with your order number — no forms, no return authorisation number required.
A genuine fault is covered by our 3-year warranty — free replacement, including freight, no return shipping cost to you.
If you simply change your mind, you can return an unused SaltyCell battery in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price. Return shipping is paid by the customer for change-of-mind returns. To start one, email hello@saltycells.com.au with your order number and we'll send return instructions within one business day. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving the returned item.
Our compatibility checker is provided in good faith, but you're responsible for confirming battery size, terminal layout and clearance for your specific vehicle before installation. If a battery arrives and doesn't fit — and it's still unused and in original packaging — contact us and we'll arrange an exchange for the correct model or a full refund, same as a standard change-of-mind return.
If your battery develops a genuine fault within the 3-year warranty period, that's not a "return" — it's a warranty claim, and it's free. You do not need to uninstall or ship anything back for initial assessment in most cases; email hello@saltycells.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault, and a photo if relevant. We aim to resolve every claim within 5 business days. See our full Warranty Policy for what's covered.
Email hello@saltycells.com.au with your order number and the reason for the return. We reply within one business day with the return address and any instructions. There's no online returns portal to log into — it's just a direct email to a real person.
This policy is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which cannot be excluded. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality, regardless of any timeframe stated above.
