The EU1288 brings SaltyCell sodium-ion power to European performance sedans and hatches — BMW 1 Series and 3 Series and similar. 88Ah of sodium-ion capacity in a standard DIN75-class 315 × 175 × 190 mm case, Right-Hand Positive terminal, drops straight in where your lead-acid or AGM battery came out.

Will the EU1288 fit my car?

The EU1288 uses the standard European DIN75-class case (315 × 175 × 190 mm) with a Right-Hand Positive terminal layout — a direct fit for the models listed above. Does my car need to be "registered" to the new battery?

Many European vehicles with stop-start systems (built roughly 2012 onward) use a Battery Management System that needs to be told a new battery has been fitted, via a diagnostic tool (VCDS for VW/Audi, ISTA/Carista/BimmerLink for BMW, Xentry for Mercedes). This is a normal part of any battery replacement on these vehicles, not specific to SaltyCell batteries. See our installation guide or ask your installer.
