Everything you need to sit your SaltyCell at the right height and lock it firmly in the tray. SaltyCells batteries are lighter and can sit a little lower than the lead acid battery they replace, which can leave your factory clamp short of the case. The Fitment Kit closes that gap.
Buying a battery too? Use the Buy with Fitment Kit button on your battery's page and both ship together.
A SaltyCell can sit 10 to 30mm lower than the lead acid battery it replaces. Stack the strips to bring the top of the case back up to where your clamp and cables expect it.
The riser strips are rigid, non conductive and resistant to oil and battery acid, so they will not compress over time and let the clamp work loose.
Many European cars hold the battery by a ledge at the base. Once the battery is raised, that ledge no longer grips, so the kit includes a top clamp and J bolts to hold it down.
Sit the battery in the tray and measure from the top of the case to where the factory clamp sits. Choose 10, 20 or 30mm of lift (one, two or three strips per stack).
Put one stack of strips under each end of the battery so the case is supported evenly.
Sit the battery on the strips with the terminals on the correct side for your cables.
Hook the J bolts under the tray edge, fit the crossbar across the top and tighten the wing nuts until the battery cannot move when pushed.
Close the bonnet gently and confirm it clears the terminals and the clamp before you connect the cables. See the full installation guide.
